Oko Caribe is a central fermentary situated in El Cibao Region, Duarte Province, Dominican Republic. Since its foundation in 2006, it has been devoted to providing small cacao farmers with education, techniques and funding, with a view to reviving the cacao production of the country. The certified organic cacao beans are sourced from around 160 small cacao farmers. They are generally a mix of Trinitario, Criollo and Nacional. Notes of mango, citrus and berries.
