Since 2008, the estate has transitioned into an agroforestry system—interplanting cacao with fruits and native trees—to preserve primary and secondary forests while providing a habitat for endangered species threatened by agricultural expansion.Meticulously processed, the estate's cacao delivers a beautifully balanced, medium-sweet flavor with a smooth texture. Its exotic profile boasts notes of grape, dried and fresh fruits, florals, blueberry, coconut, and herbs.Demonstrating its top-tier quality, Costa Esmeralda won the 2019 Cacao of Excellence award and secured a Bronze Award at the International Chocolate Awards Asia-Pacific 2023.
